Meet Millie

"The Coffee Lady"

At the ripe age of 20, Millie, known by her customers as “The Coffee Lady,” dropped out of college, left a good-paying job in Phoenix, Arizona, and moved over 3,000 miles from her hometown in Alaska to the small town of Fairview, Oklahoma, where she somehow managed to open her own coffee shop - all within the same calendar year.

On paper, this was a bad move. It was made reluctantly and without any plans of staying. But, within a few weeks of Oklahoma sunsets, friendly locals, and the way time seemed to move slower in Fairview, Millie knew this was home. The only thing missing was coffee.

While sleeping on the floor next to dozens of boxes begging to be unpacked, Millie began pursuing her seemingly impossible dream of opening a coffee shop. With the help of a kind and tight knit community, what started as a running joke around town quickly became a reality.

Within 6 months of being in Fairview, Millie began serving coffee.

The iconic red and white vintage camper started off moving from one local event to the next, but eventually found a permanent home outside the local feed store.

Today, Millie Coffee is a staple in the town of Fairview, providing the quiet luxury of espresso, iced lattes, and energy drinks to both locals and anyone “just passing through.”

Millie's Mission

Small town Oklahoma has a lot to offer, with its tight-knit communities, strong ag industries, and the spirit of the heartland. Unfortunately, coffee culture is not often one of those things. “What is coffee culture?” you ask. Coffee culture starts with a cup of quality coffee crafted with care and intention but extends so much further. Coffee culture is providing single working moms the energy to face their day; it is the smile on a customer's face when you remember their “usual,” someone surprising their bestie with a birthday drink, and so much more. Here at Millie Coffee, it is our goal to provide coffee culture to Oklahoma, while supporting this great state. We proudly source our products within the state, prioritize local charity, and are passionate about everything that makes Oklahoma, Oklahoma. We believe that, although a good cup of coffee is essential, it is merely the vessel we use to provide a much bigger impact to the community.
